Kat Von D Chrysalis Eyeshadow Palette Look #1

I recently reviewed one of Kat Von D's new palettes, the Chrysalis palette, and I thought I would share one of the looks I created.

I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and start with the shades that were most daunting to me: the blues. I haven't worn blue eyeshadow since I was about 15 and that's a point in my life I'd rather forget!

I have to say that I am really pleased with the way it turned out and I am so impressed with just how wearable these colours actually are. The buttery smoothness of the shadows make them so easy to blend and you can be as light/heavy handed as you wish, depending on the look you are going for.

I have to say that in the pictures they do look slightly purpley, but in real life it was much more blue.

Inner Corner: Lunar Lights
Transition Shade: Transition (coincidental name!)
Outer Lid: Hybrid Moments (with a light hand)
Lash Line: Lunar Lights & Transition
Lower Lid: Hybrid Moments into Entombed

I can see myself wearing this look a lot more often than I had imagined, and I think it's perfect for nights out. I would definitely intensify the look with some black gel eyeliner on my lid and false eyelashes.
